Sarvam partners with Razorpay to bring voice-first commerce to India
Combining Sarvam's agentic stack with Razorpay's payments infrastructure to power the next generation of conversational commerce.
We are excited to announce our partnership with Razorpay, India's omnichannel payments and banking platform, to power the next generation of voice-first, conversational commerce. By combining Sarvam's models and agentic stack with Razorpay's payments infrastructure, customers can now discover products, place orders, and complete payments simply by conversing in their language.
What makes this different
India has over 950 million internet users and more than 450 million digital payment users on UPI. Yet only around 200 million people currently shop online. The gap is not access — it is experience.
Voice-first payments
Customers tell an AI assistant what they want in the language of their choice and complete the full payment within the same conversation. No typing, no app switching, no English-first menus.
Multilingual by default
Sarvam's models support Hindi, Hinglish, and a growing set of Indian languages. Every interaction feels natural to the user, not like a translation of an English-first interface.
Agentic checkout
The agent handles the entire journey, from understanding the request to placing the order to completing payment through Razorpay's infrastructure, powered by NPCI's UPI Reserve Pay.

The partnership is already running across two real-world surfaces, with more on the way.
Indus and direct commerce pilots
Voice-first commerce is live on Indus, Sarvam's chat platform, and in an early pilot for The Derma Co's website. Customers can discover products and complete purchases just by speaking in the language they are most comfortable with.
Razorpay Agent Studio
Sarvam's stack is integrated directly into Razorpay's Agent Studio. Any developer or business building on the Razorpay ecosystem can deploy AI agents that interact with customers in Indian languages, significantly lowering the bar to multilingual commerce.
