Product Designer (AI Native)

Apply for this role

We think the role of a product designer is about to change.

For a long time, the loop went: designer makes mocks, engineer builds them, weeks pass, something ships, something gets measured, the loop restarts. That loop is breaking down. The designers who'll matter most over the next decade are the ones who can compress it, who can move from idea to live product without losing themselves in handoff, ceremony, or translation.

We're hiring for that shape of designer.

This role is open across levels. If you're early in your career but already living in this future and have done meaningful work, we want to talk. If you're senior or staff and ready to shape what this function looks like at Sarvam, we want to talk.

The bet:

Code is getting commoditized. Taste, judgment, and product intuition are not. The designer who knows what to build, who can prototype it themselves, who ships it, looks at the data, and iterates the next morning, is going to outperform every traditional design-to-engineering pipeline we've seen.

This role is built around that bet. The person we hire will own product experiences end to end. They'll design, ship, measure, and iterate. They'll set the standard for what good looks like, and they'll have the tools and autonomy to make it real.

What you'll do

Own product experiences from problem to live feature. Use AI as a real multiplier, not a curiosity. Move at a pace that compounds across weeks. Watch the metrics on what you ship, and treat the gap between intent and outcome as the most interesting question in the job.

What we're looking for:

Design taste at a high bar. This is the foundation. Typography, hierarchy, motion, interaction. Information hierarchy, thinking deeply about UX is a must.

Product judgment. You think about activation, engagement, and retention as design problems.

A bias for shipping. You don't sit on work. You'd rather ship something at 80% and learn than polish in private for three weeks. You're allergic to ceremony.

Strong point of view. You have opinions about products, design, and how teams should work. You hold them confidently and update them when you're wrong.

Fluency in AI-native building. This is non-negotiable, and we mean something specific by it.

You've shipped real work using Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent. You have an actual point of view on which tools work for which problems and why. You understand MCP, you've thought about how skills get composed, and you can talk about how design systems map to component libraries that AI can reason over.

You've built something non-trivial, mostly through these tools, and you can show it to us. A working prototype, an internal tool, a side project, a shipped feature.

This matters because at least 40% of the work in this role will run through AI coding tools. We're not looking for someone who's curious but someone who already adopted this.

Who this is for

People who feel underused in traditional design roles. People who've already started building with AI tools and noticed how much faster they can move. People who want to be one of the first hires in a function that's about to be reshaped.

If that's you, we want to talk.
