HP and Sarvam bring voice-first AI to the PC

As AI becomes a bigger part of everyday computing, the hardware and the intelligence running on it increasingly need to work together. Sarvam builds models across voice and language, along with the AI experiences that bring those capabilities into everyday use.

The partnership brings these two layers together. HP devices used across India can become a home for AI built in India, designed around how people here speak and work, while making everyday computing more natural, multilingual and accessible.

Voice is where that work begins.

For most people, using a computer still begins with a keyboard, a mouse and a series of menus. Voice opens up another way to interact with it.

Kivi, powered by Sarvam, is a voice app that lets people speak to their computer and get things done across the applications they already use. People can dictate instead of typing, draft or rewrite content, search for information and get help with what they are working on.

In India, people often communicate across multiple languages and switch between them naturally, but using a computer can still require them to adapt how they type, search or express themselves. Kivi helps remove that friction, with support for 22+ Indian languages and code-switching that lets people interact with the PC in the way they already speak. The result is a simpler, faster and more accessible computing experience, particularly for people who find typing or navigating traditional interfaces difficult.

By bringing this experience to HP devices at scale, HP and Sarvam are making voice a new interface for the PC and rethinking how people across India work, learn and create.

While voice is the first area of collaboration between HP and Sarvam, the collaboration is intended to extend beyond voice.

The MoU envisions a deeper partnership as AI reshapes what people expect from their computers and what the PC itself can do. Over time, HP and Sarvam aim to bring a broader set of AI experiences across the devices and workflows people rely on every day.
