A demo teaches people where to click. If the dub translates a button label that stays in English on screen, the viewer is lost, and every release makes the old demo slightly wrong.

Keep UI terms as they appear on screen

Frequently asked questions

Can product and feature names stay unchanged?

Yes. Every translated line is editable before export. Correct a name, product term or phrase in its timestamped block, then regenerate only that block.

Can I update only the step that changed?

Yes. Open the dub, edit the translated text of the line that changed and regenerate that block. You do not need to record or dub the whole video again.

Can screen-recorded product demos be dubbed?

Yes. A screen recording is uploaded like any other video. The workspace accepts MP4 and MOV video, or MP3 and WAV audio, up to 2 GB per file. The dubbing API also accepts MKV, WebM, AVI, FLV, WMV and M4A.

Can subtitles be exported?

Yes, through the dubbing API. Add srt to export_options and each target language returns a subtitle file timed to the dub, alongside the video or audio you request.

Can the Dubbing API process a library of product videos?

Yes. Create a dubbing job per file with the dubbing API, list the target languages and export formats, then poll the job and download each export. One job covers every language you list.
